Rosamund Pike - Film - Jackboots on Whitehall. Toby Stephens, Bill Nighy. BBC Radio 4 drama.

• Director Ed McHenry mentions Rosamund in an interview from Netribution:

"...Rosamund Pike is a fantastic actress, the best British actress at the moment, she has a fantastic voice..."

• An excerpt from this week's BBC Radio 7 newsletter:

"...In my newsletter 3 weeks ago, I asked you to nominate your "Top 10 Favourite Voices", and you sent in a most interesting selection.

There were 63 nominated readers in all.

As some readers received equal votes, there are actually 12 in our final list. (although the listener who nominated the same reader 10 times was only allowed one vote - you know who you are!)

Top of the list, by a margin, was Michael Jayston, with particular mention of his readings of Rogue Male and Rogue Justice.

Second equal were Martin Jarvis and Toby Stephens.

In third place were: Bill Nighy, Juliet Stevenson, Stephen Fry and Derek Jacobi.

In fourth place were Alan Bennett, Alex Jennings, Anna Massey, Geoffrey Palmer and Robert Powell.

If none of the names you nominated made the top 10 (or rather 12) I hope you won’t be upset, as this poll was simply a bit of fun..."
