Tour dates for Close the Coalhouse Door are as follows: Northern Stage (13 April-5 May), Yvonne Arnaud (29 May-2 June), Gala Durham (12-16 June), York Theatre Royal (26-30 June).

Eternal Law will premiere 5 January on ITV1. The show's press pack has interviews with the executive producers and cast, and some stills (via @TheRailwayArms). Synopses are also available for episodes 1, 2 and 3.

He's currently doing pre-production for Close the Coalhouse Door:

Nominees for the Whatsonstage.com awards include Charles Edwards (Best Supporting Actor in a Play); Ruth Wilson and Kristin Scott Thomas (Best Actress in a Play); and Benedict Cumberbatch and David Tennant (Best Actor in a Play). The full list of nominations is here, and voting closes 31 January.

Sam gave a speech at the launch of the National Campaign for the Arts' Arts Index. The text of the speech is here (via his Twitter, @exitthelemming). He was also interviewed on Today - the discussion focuses on philanthropy.

He will narrate The Soldier's Tale at the Wigmore Hall on 3 February 2012.

Law Gazette has a short article about the Peace Brigades International 30th anniversary gala, at which Sam performed in dramatisations of stories about Colombian lawyers.

Last month, Sam read excerpts from Prokofiev's diaries at Music at Tresanton (via travelpr).
He also attended the Sheffield Theatres' 40th celebration (Sheffield Telegraph). Here's a tweet from him about the event:
