"'39 Steps' Extends Its Broadway Stay
NEW YORK (AP) — "The 39 Steps," a cheeky stage spoof of Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 spy thriller, is extending its Broadway stay.
The show has been a hit for the Roundabout Theatre Company at its American Airlines Theatre, but it needs to make way for the nonprofit theater's next attraction, a revival of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," which starts performances there April 12.
"The 39 Steps" will move to the Cort Theatre for performances beginning April 29 and officially reopen May 8, producer Bob Boyett announced Monday. It will give its final performance at the American Airlines Theatre March 29..."
