Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, Glamour's Women of the Year Awards and the Offies

Broadcasting Press Guild Awards nominees include Any Human Heart, Downton Abbey and Sherlock for Best Drama Series; and Hugh Bonneville, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hollander for Best Actor (via darcylicious). The winners will be announced 25 March.

Hayley Atwell, Gemma Arterton, Hattie Morahan, Keira Knightley, Ruth Wilson and Andrea Riseborough have received nominations for Glamour's Women of the Year Awards, which will be held on 7 June.

Toby Jones has been nominated for a Best Male Offie for The Painter at The Arcola.

Charles Edwards - Theatre - Much Ado About Nothing

Eve Best and Charles will star as Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing directed by Jeremy Herrin (The Heretic, The Family Reunion) at Shakespeare's Globe. Previews begin 21 May, the play officially opens on 26 May and will run in rep until 1 October (Playbill).

Samuel West. Belarus. Berry Theatre Gala Opening Evening. Kreutzer vs. Kreutzer.

Sam will address a demonstration and hand in a letter of protest outside the Belarusian embassy in London today at 2pm (via his Twitter, @exitthelemming). The demonstration has been organised by The Belarus Committee to show solidarity with all the victims of President Lukashenko’s regime in Belarus; prisoners currently detained by the secret police include members of the Belarus Free Theatre.

He will open the Berry Theatre at a gala on 7 April (via Hedge End People).

The recording of a Melbourne performance of Kreutzer vs. Kreutzer is currently in post-production (Stella Motion Pictures).

Hayley Atwell. Cure Parkinson's Trust Illuminate auction. Tod's Art Plus Drama Party.

Hayley has designed a candle holder for the Cure Parkinson's Trust Illuminate auction, which will open 22 February on Ebay. Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais and Harry Lloyd have also contributed designs to the auction.

Tom Hollander, Sally Hawkins and Hayley will perform at the Tod's Art Plus Drama Party at the Whitechapel Gallery on 24 March (via John Jones). Click here for ticketing information.

Andrea attended the Coriolanus premiere and Shooting Stars program at the Berlin Film Festival. The Shooting Stars website has portraits, a profile of Andrea and a video from the press conference (in which she is glimpsed a few times). In addition, Andrea Riseborough Fan has pictures from the photocall and portrait session (photo: Johannes Eisele). A reminder: Dan reads the first episode of A Short History of Vampires, "Dracula's Guest" by Bram Stoker, which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 7 tomorrow at 6.30pm and repeated on Monday 14 February at 12.30am.

Ruth Wilson attended the De Beers pre-BAFTA film and jewellery lunch on 3 February. Earlier this week, she was a guest at the Evening Standard Film Awards, where winners included Andrew Garfield (Best Actor, The Social Network and Never Let Me Go) and Kristin Scott Thomas (Best Actress, Leaving). Rosamund Pike will play Andromeda in the Clash of the Titans sequel (via Indiewire). Rosamund attended the London Film Critics Circle Awards, where she was nominated for British Actress of the Year. Murder on the Orient Express premieres in Australia on ABC1, Sunday 13 February at 8.30pm. The cast includes Hugh Bonneville (Edward Masterman), Toby Jones (Samuel Ratchett), David Morrissey (John Arbuthnot) and Samuel West (Dr Constantine).

Sam and Harriet Walter are the readers for next week's episode of With Great Pleasure - Joan Bakewell chose the readings. It will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 15 February at 11.30am.

The patrons of the Mousetrap Theatre Projects have written about their "inspired beginnings" in theatre. An excerpt from Sam's piece:

"...At one point in the play [a 1972 production of Love's Labours Lost starring his father Timothy West] the three boys have to disguise themselves as Russians, and the director had them come on dressed as cosmonauts with big space helmets, and playing the theme from '2001'. I remember thinking how clever it was of Shakespeare to anticipate the moon landings by nearly 400 years..."

Rosamund Pike has received a Genie nomination - Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Barney's Version (via the Hollywood Reporter). She has recently been interviewed in the New Statesman and the Orlando Sentinel, and on the Film Weekly podcast.

Andrea Riseborough has also been interviewed on Film Weekly, for Brighton Rock. Press coverage for the film's London premiere includes videos from the Independent and the BBC.
In December, Andrea was announced as a Shooting Star. The Shooting Stars website has a video that contains clips of Andrea from Brighton Rock and Made in Dagenham.
